B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) is a 3 to 4-year undergraduate program that focuses on diagnostic testing, laboratory procedures, and disease detection.This course trains students in analyzing blood, urine, tissue, and other body fluids to assist doctors in diagnosing and treating diseases.
The curriculum includes clinical biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, hematology, immunology, and blood banking, along with hands-on training in laboratory techniques and equipment handling. Students also undergo internships in hospitals, diagnostic labs, and research centers.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects.
Minimum aggregate score of 50% (may vary by university/college).
Entrance Exams
Some universities conduct entrance exams (like CUET, AIIMS Entrance Exam, JIPMER, etc.), while others offer admission based on merit.
